Crocheting in my PJs

Oh boy am I feeling rubbish, I didn't even make it out of bed until lunchtime, and am still sitting here in my PJs - this is not how I planned to spend the day.
My entire achievement today is eating a bowl of soup and completing 2 rows of my Little Woollie mixed stripe crochet-along blanket. This is a long-promised project for my daughter.
I couldn't even contemplate sitting at a sewing machine, crochet is definitely my comfort craft, whether I'm physically unwell or even a bit stressed. I wonder if all multi-crafters have a 'go to' favourite when under the weather?
Right, off to get a Lemsip!

  1. Oh no! Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish. I hope the lemsip and some gentle crochet is helping.

I know when I'm feeling ill when I can't be bothered to do any crafting at all. Reading tends to be my go to pastime when I'm feeling poorly.

    1. Thank you, I'm feeling really yucky today and appear to have shared my germs with P - it's his birthday on Monday so I think we're going to have to postpone the plans we had with friends and family :( Perhaps today's the day when I actually read some of my enormous pile of craft books x

    1. To be honest I don't think I could tackle anything tougher than crochet but I find it really contemplative and relaxing - not that I got much done yesterday, that's a long term project, 330+ stitches per row and it needs to be 6' long. It's very easy to learn to crochet but my best advice is to find someone to show you, an hour with somebody who can crochet already and you'll be away. I love teaching people to crochet as it's so quick to pick up, my friend who said she'd never be able to make anything has produced 3 beautiful blankets since I taught her last January :)
